Masca which is laid back has a slot machine which is more than that. It's crazy.

And that money machine makes everybody look stupid, while it dates back to the years before the wildfires in 2003. In other words, it is retarded. Oh sorry, it's a parkometer. It is a leftover from the times of the Pesetas of last century.

May be the money machine for parking fees was used to heat that hot hot flames of the wildfires didn't affect it. In fact, temperatures in this little mountain valley of the Teno can rise very much. I was told by a local that 35 degrees Celsius are not uncommon, while 24 degrees are more the norm in the rest of Tenerife Island. Therefore, the weather in the Teno Alto's most secluded village is rather phenomenal. The many tropical fruit in this blessed mountain hamle are the proof of it. Even Mangos grow there. So much to climate in Tenerife,
where the village behind Los Gigantes with its giant cliffs is the exception which confirms every rule.

No more jokes, but how park your car at Masca?

Park, when and while you can in the road by the greedy money machine which takes any parking coin. But, don't give it any!

In case that you found a good spot for your vehicle, climb down the only cobble stone road which you see just below the slot machine at the top. At its end, encounter a shop owner of Tenerife souvenirs Masca whose business attitude speaks for itself.

Later return by the road which is used for endurance cycling. Use it in any direction, which you like.
