Nature wisdom, a natural phenomena and no oddity, indeed...

Nature wisdom is all around us, such as on the Puerto de la Cruz beaches of Playa Jardin.

There a plant did something which appears to be crazy. It was a mature Agave which had started to flower. What stroke me as a natural oddity was perfectly normal.. This agave had decided to direct its enormous flowering stem right over the top of the 12 meter high wall. It looked dangerous. You were bound to think that this massive flower would break off. This was no photo montage. It was a natural phenomema. This was nature wisdom for you to admire.

Just now, an enormous cluster of about 3m of blooms would hang from the top of the retaining,
which is depicted beside. This flower which would lean right down along the wall would be totally in tune with the hanging gardens of Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife.

Did the plant risk to become uprooted?

No, this wouldn't happen. Agaves go deep down into the ground.

The plant knew that her offsprings would have fallen onto sterile ground, if she had not changed her posture. In fact, the floor next to the Agave is tiled. Yet, the plant sensed that her offspring would find somewhere to grow, further down below. The breeze of the sea beyond would help.

What can we learn from that?

This is a philosophical message. It means never to give up, as nature helps itself. An effort which looks impossible only deceives the eye. However, there is one condition with all of this. Always stay with both feet on the ground. Stay tuned with nature. Acquire nature wisdom, just like the Agave.

Anyway, many smaller lower retaining walls are stagged up below like in steps. Some seeds of the agave will have found a nook. The plant had done its best, as not to become extinct.
