Restaurante el patio was my family's and my first choice to eat out  in April 2014. Hopefully, one day I shall go back there, as we all liked it very much.

Restaurante el Patio also known as del patio de Tita.

This patio or porch is like a semi enclosed oasis which can seat 50 people easily.

More people may also be accommodated by the area with the large swimming pool that belongs to the surrounding property of this terrace restaurant.

Our dog was most happy under a table in the narrow alley patio while we had some sun-downer drinks.

Slow food doesn't mean slow service. It signifies that important time is taken with home made organic cooking, contrary to much Fastfood where chemicals, such as food enhancers, preservatives and artificial coloring may prevail. In fact, all sauces, condiments and also bread rolls are made with loving care on the premises.

Of course, meat and seafood are served there too but black pork from the farm's own live stock is a real treat.

A 3 star hotel rural with 80 square meter big apartments and its own terrace, large swimming pool, plenty parking and a chapel leave more scope for holidays. Mind the chapel is ideal for small wedding ceremonies. Indeed, this rural restaurant of the Orotava Valley also caters for events big or small.

By the way, it's always an excellent, cheap option for a few people to go there by taxi from other parts of Los Realejos or Puerto de la Cruz.

We also were blessed with the most enchanting sundown over the coast.

Not to forget is that the chef and Dutchman of El Patio Restaurant told us that it has the occasional jazz live music events which is loved by many  foreigners and locals alike.
