Wild and wonderful retaining wall landscaping Tenerife.
No doubt that this is retaining wall landscaping at its best. It hardly looks man made, except for the walls, some of which are very high, indeed. Notice how some of those supporting walls are set at totally opposing angles. The result with the plants behind them is simply stunning. Just figure how the mood of such a scenery is changing depending on the time of the day, the weather, the clouds and the seasons, of course. However, the change will be subtle, not harsh at all. Why? This is the island of eternal spring with an everage temperature of about 24 degrees Celsius, year in and year out. Eventually, rain will simply apply a fresh green coat. Meantime, there are always the blessing clouds. No retaining wall landscaping would have become such a big success without them. The countless examples of the hanging gardens on Playa Jardin Puerto de la Cruz prove it. Anyway, just bear this picture in mind when you design your own garden for your dream property in a country with subtropical climate or, for your next holiday home in Tenerife. Try to create something as natural as the scene shown in the photo above and it will become breathtaking over time. However, watch from which direction most of the winds blow. They will have their say in your landscape design results. Also make sure that you use the most natural soil. Kompost is not for everything. At least, mix much sand and roughage, such as little stones and pebbles into the soil. That's important for drainage.
