Most of my humble reports will be special for Tenerife, though. I live there, you know. However, I hear what's new also from friends on mainland Spain and from Majorca.Those news are interesting for the renter or owner of a Tenerife holiday home or any property in Spain, in general.
A better year for real estate sales Tenerife?Mr.Marc Pritchard Sales and Marketing Director of Taylor Wimpey España is reported to have mentioned Tenerife as one of Spanish provinces which may expect property value increase by the end of 2011. When my uncle who was a wealthy German once, lost all his cash in the bank due to deflation (Waehrungsreform in German) he could at least keep his 2 properties. Property, can go down in value but, cannot disappear, unless by accident. But, land cannot go away. Spain News La Paz Puerto de la CruzMy friend Guenther told me, friends of his sold their Tenerife resort property to a German investor. This investor bought several properties in expensive property resort La Paz Puerto de la Cruz. Guenther has seen the friends' apartment. Each property sold had 60 square meters. The former buying price of each of them was around €180000. All apartments were beautifully furnished with the best appliances. The investor purchased the friends' apartment for €130000 in January 2009. Now, this crazy man rips out all double glazed windows and guts the rest of the apartment down to paint and floors.He does a total Reforma, a renovation with inside construction changes, such as to bathrooms. The confident German investor bought several such apartments in La Paz Puerto de la Cruz. He wants to convert them all to exactly the same interior style. Then, he intends renting them out.
